The web-based exporter tool is the primary means of accessing telemetry data. It exports selected subsets of the telemetry sample streams and writes them to a user-specified file type.

The exporter tool requires the Sun Java 1.6 plug-in for the browser being used.

The currently supported platforms are the following.

  • Linux 2.6.18 or newer running Firefox 3.0.
  • Mac OS X 10.6 running Safari 4.
  • Windows XP Professional SP 2 or newer running Internet explorer 7 or newer.
  • Windows XP Professional SP 2 or newer running Firefox 3 or newer.

The exporter tool does not work on the following platforms.

  • Mac OS X 10.5 running any browser.
  • Mac OS X 10.6 running Firefox. (I suspect that the tester of this platform did not have java configured correctly.)
  • Linux running Firefox 3.5
